Twitter Says India’s Orders to Block Accounts Inconsistent With Native Legislation

Twitter stated on Tuesday it believes orders by the Indian authorities to take down accounts are inconsistent with native regulation and that for some accounts, it could not comply with an outright ban and would as a substitute limit entry inside India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s authorities has requested Twitter to take down greater than 1,100 accounts and posts it says accuse the administration of making an attempt to wipe out farmers.
